Excuse Me

I do not know what it is lately but I have not been able to get myself to sit down and blog lately, as I am sure you are most aware. I get to reading other blogs and then finding a new project to start and off I go. Then once I get deeply emersed into the project and finally come up for air, I realize that I have not only forgotten to do the one thing that I had sat down to do in the first place, But I also have not taken pictures of the before and after of the current project I am doing. Gurrr....

Saying that I think its safe to say that I am on a project anti blogging roll. I promise I will try to shift my priorities and come back to blogging. I need it, there are so many things that I can be writing about lately.

Like my Mom and her friends leaving yesterday for the wonderful city of PARIS! what lucky ladies!

I do hope that they have as much if not more fun than Doris Day did.

Well I will get some of my DIY projects ready to blog about and share them soon!

À la prochaine   (Until next time)

the Hunt...

who would have ever thought that I would have such a hard time finding a job with my resume,
but alas longevity does not speak to employers in this economy.
I officially gave up earlier this week and lost all perseverance in the matter. Until a friend posted this verse;

WOW could this speak words of truth any louder?
God has amazing things to say to us everyday but sometimes they are said through someone else's findings.
I am still not entirely motivated but still pushing through and attempting to apply to at least one job a day.

Wish there was a simple answer to it all.
And there is, Give it to God and leave it in His hands,
But that doesn't mean that you do not have to do any work twords a goal,
but with every no there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel that keeps leading me in the direction of "Follow Me, I will guide you.
Lean on Me, I will give you Strength.
Trust Me, I know what I am doing!"
-God

As a little girl growing up I watched Anne of Green Gables and the moral subtleties are not as subtle to us as adults
One thing Anne always says is
"today is a new day with NO mistakes in it"
and I have always liked that.
It is the same concept that the Bible says about the Lord
"His mercies are new every morning, great is His faithfulness".
Another one that ring true is;

 "Yesterday is gone".
For all it's successes for all of it's failures, it's gone.

Ok so back to the job hunt I just wanted to update my blog while taking a break from the monotony of the filling out job applications.

We Pray For Blessings- my Hearts Cry

I love when I hear a song on the radio and its exactly
what God wants you to hear at that point or moment in your day or life.
This one brings me to tears everytime.

"We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser things

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
And we cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt Your goodness, we doubt Your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we'd have faith to believe

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not, this is not our home
It's not our home

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops?
What if Your healing comes through tears?
And what if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near?
What if my greatest disappointments,
Or the aching of this life,
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy?
And what if trials of this life--
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights--
Are Your mercies in disguise?"
-- Laura Story, "Blessings"
Its amazing how good curling up at the feet of our Abba Father and weeping can feel and is so spiritually cleansing it can be. What songs or quotes bring you to the throne?

In Pain!

Apparently I am not as young as I use to be. This weekend my boyfriend and his kids were here and sunday after church and lunch we went out to my parents and jumped on the trampoline.
First mistake jumping with the kids, second mistake jumping out of the tree fort like did when was in highschool. (Bear in mind its been almost 11 years ago since I was in highschool)
When I jumped out of the fort I felt my back jar. but as a kid my body was so resilient and it didn't hurt later. Appartently at 29 years old, not so much. So for the last couple days have been at home in bed in so much pain. no bueno! I need to get back to moveable by friday since have a class to teach @ the gym. gurrr getting old fun.
Going to get another ice pack and watch another movie.
Pray for me!

Humble

Today realized that my plans when was younger are exactly NOT what am today. but I now understand that God has different plans for me and continues to challenge me daily.?
For those of you who know me, know I cannot be more adamant about looking forward to being a wife and mother. Idealisticly I would have loved to have started a family already and be married to an amazing man of my dreams. But alas it is not where I am at this point in my life journey.?
I am dating this amazing man and father to two beautiful children who? I enjoy spending time with? I am trying to continually trying to seek Gods will and listen to what He has to say about our relationship. But some days I am human. We disagree and I automatically want to throw in the towel and not try. But I have recognized why I do this. Its from a prior relationship that I was hurt from and scared to get hurt again. But who wouldn't be. Also becoming a potential step mom or role model is hard to even think about too. I want my OWN family... but why is it so hard for me to wrap my head around Step mom doesn't mean they are not apart of my family, they are just a different and very special component to it.?
I think I'm just worried about the whole evil step mom or being blamed for anything the kids would do bad once I was married to their dad. but that all said. I do enjoy them immensely and look forward to spending time with them, I have so much fun with them. They are great kids and maybe just maybe God gave me the desire to be a mom regardless of how it happens.
I guess only time will tell. For now I am going to continue to seek Gods plan and enjoy every moment.
